The Quiz Leaderboard

The Quiz Leaderboard is used to track points earned by attendees across all of the Quizzes in your event. This page updates automatically as Attendees earn points. It's a great way to foster friendly competition among your Attendees, and also for awarding prizes for Attendee accomplisments!

Quiz questions must have a Point Value assigned in order to affect the Quiz Leaderboard.

Accessing the Quiz Leaderboard Admin

The Quiz Leaderboard is accessed via the Leaderboard button at the top right of the Quiz Admin.

Clicking this button will take you to the Leaderboard Configuration Screen.

Assigning Teams

Your Leaderboards can be configured to either display results based on Teams, or based on individual Attendees.

Teams could represent whatever you like: Attendee regions, Attendee roles, or even based on things like how Attendees answer a pre-event survey.

Teams are created in the Leaderboard admin. Teams are not related to Groups, although you can make Teams that match Group assignments.

Click "Download team assignments as .csv" to begin assigning teams. This will download a Team assignment csv template, which you will need to edit in Excel or another spreadsheet editor.

You will need to fill in the following information for each Attendee:

  • Email
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Team Assignment

With the exception of Team Assignment, each field must match the Attendee's information in your Attendee Roster.

Your .csv might look something like this when you're just getting started!

Once you're done assigning teams, save your .csv and then click "Upload team assignments as .csv file" in the top right. Select your edited file to complete the upload. At that point, congratulations! Your new team assignments should be live.

Configuring Your Leaderboard

The Leaderboard Preview screen has options to help you configure your Leaderboard for sharing with Attendees.

Your event will have many more attendees than this!

Here, you have control over two important toggles:

  • whether your Leaderboard is set to display Teams or individual Attendees, and
  • whether it is calculated using scores from every Quiz across your entire Event or just the results from one Quiz.

You can also set a limit for how many Rows will display on your leaderboard. Do you only want to display the top three winners? The top five? The top twenty?

Finally, you can make your leaderboard accessible by clicking the Leaderboard URL button in the top right corner of the screen. Clicking here will open a new tab with your newly configured Leaderboard!

To make this Leaderboard accessible to your Attendees, copy the URL from this new tab and paste it on a Home Screen button, on a Page, or elsewhere in your app!
